The basic gist is that the movie is disturbing because of its sexist overtones but that it's fascinating if you consider a) the protagonist's will as the most powerful force and b) the disconnect between action and consequence as a fantasy of a world where Patriarchy exists without its natural backlash.
And yes, I still refuse to name that series. I promise you, it's better this way.
